2 Memphis Tenn Thursday Jan 11" 1866, Last night I went to the Memphis Theatre with Major Reed & Corporal Baker, the French [Spy?] was played. The other piece, Our Jennie, the Star and powerful Actor was Miss Jenni Hight of Chicago who performed Admirably. Brevet Major Reed is Detailed on a Court Martial in the City which leaves me in command of the Co. again. Considerable rain fell this evening.
