18 Davenport Iowa Jan 25 / 66 Thursday The 12" Iowa V.V. Infty was paid off and discharge to day, at Davenport Iowa, I received my pay from July 1/ 65" to Jan 23d 1866. with 3 months pay proper with pay for mileage at the rate of 1,66 for every 20 mils from here to Clermont by nearest Boat route, I took the Cars for Home via Chicago, Rockford, &c as I intend visiting Miss Durno's father at Rockford. I Recd 2 letters from Jane yesterday& one from Augy. [Howe?]
