82 1861 Nov 4 Dubuque Co Iowa I aplyed for a fu -rlough of Captain Warrner to day but He says the Colonol won't grant any more yet there is no imediate prospe -ct of our leaving I wanted to go and accompany Jane & the children to Illinois But I submit being now subject to military law which knows no ties whatever
