97 1861 Nov 9 Fayette co Iowa I helped George Hend erson this forenoon to fix the cattle sheds and in the afternoon I went to see Father & Mother. all the folks seem as glad to see me as if I had been absent for three years & they all tell me that I have im proved in apearance & gained in flesh so that I cannot with justice complain.
