126 1861 Nov 28 Dunleith Ill we reached Dixon at 7 oclcok A.M. and Lasalle at 12 oclock the rout of the Illinois Central is through a very flat prairie there is a splendid long Bridge on the Illinois River at Lasalle the prairie south of Lasalle is losable & apparently Boundless as the ocean but I dont like it so
