Sunday February 8th 1885. I was busy about the work most of the forenoon. Scott came for Lizzie and the children about ten oclock Otto and I went to Sue Robinsons funeral in the afternoon and drove over to Hatts a little while Robbie is quite sick It began snowing just as we got home at four oclock. I read a little in the evening. I felt very sad tonight. Seven years today Ettie was buried. Monday February 9th 1885 It was a horribly snowy day. I worked a little on some edging besides helping with the work. Tuesday February 10th 1885. The worst day I ever saw. Weather intensely cold and a strong wind from the north-west drifting the snow. We had all we could do to keep comfortable and get meals. Wednesday February 11th 1885. Weather intensely cold today though not so windy as yesterday. I worked a little on my edging and helped with work Thursday February 12th 1885 I was busy about the house all the forenoon. I wrote a letter to Will in the afternoon and sent him his ring I have not heard from him yet this week. Friday February 13th 1885 We had the washing done today. Were all done by noon Ida has not come back yet. I had a letter from Will written last Sunday. I worked afternoon and evening on some edging Robbie is better today though he has been very sick all week
