Wednesday February 25th 1885. I was busy about the house most of the forenoon. We had a large washing done. I was around town and at Hatties part of the afternoon. I wrote to Will in the evening. Friday February 27th 1885. I worked hard all the forenoon cleaning up the front part of the house. Mollie Stevens, Minnie McCallister and Hattie spent the day here. I was fixing my things a little to go away tomorrow. Talked with with Otto all the evening Father and Mother spent the evening at Fletchers. Saturday February 28th 1885. I was busy about the work all the forenoon and packed my valise. Lee took it to the store. I went over about three oclock and Hattie went to the depot with me. Charlie & Ida met me in Burlington and though the train was a little late we all went to the opera which was very good. Sunday March 1st 1885. It was late when we got up and was about home nearly all the time. I wrote to Vene. We went to church in the evening. Wrote home.
