Friday June 5th 1885 I was busy about the work the greater part of the day as the literary club meets here tonight. I rested a little while in the afternoon. It was quite a pleasant gathering John and Hatt came over. It was twelve oclock before we went to bed Saturday June 6th 1885 I went to town in the forenoon and Hatt went with me to see a display of work at the sewing machine office. It was nearly noon when I got home and I was very tired Did not do much of any thing in the afternoobn. I had a card from Ida. she will be back next week. Sunday June 7th 1885 I was working about the house in the forenoon. The boys moved the piano into the sitting room for me. John & Hatt came over with the children in the afternoon. I wrote a letter to Mrs Davis. There was a terrible rain storn just at supper time and the weather became cooler as it had been very warm all day. Edith stayed all night. Monday June 8th 1885 I was busy about the house most of the forenoon. Father came home unexpectedly this morning. I wrote a letter to Will Work. Hatt came over soon after dinner for Edith and Mother went with them when they went home. I practiced a couple of hours in the afternoon. I walked over town after supper to get a man to come and tune the piano. weather cool and pleasant. A letter from Ida tonight says she is not coming back at all.
