Wednesday September 30th 1885 weather still unpleasant. I finished fixing my dresses before noon and in the afternoon began an old one I was fixing over for Mother. wrote to Will in the evening. Thursday October 1st 1885 I was at home all day sewing on Mothers dress she spent the afternoon in town. Wrote to Will Work in the evening. Friday October 2nd 1885 I finished Mother's dress before two oclock and got ready to go to town. I attended several errands was at Hatts awhile and got home in time to help with the supper. Frank Funk stayed here all night. Saturday October 3rd 1885 I was at work all the forenoon putting up tomatoes. Mother went to town as soon as she ate her dinner. I cleaned up the kitchen real good. I did not feel very well and went to bed early. weather very much cooler. Sunday October 4th 1885 I was at work about the house the whole forenoon. Mother and Lee started for a ride to the valley soon after dinner. I read in ther afternoon and evening. Monday October 5th 1885 I was sewing all day on old things I was fixing up Mother went to town soon after dinner to see how the folks felt after their long ride in from Western last night. I worked on my edging all the evening. weather cold and disagreeable.
