Wednesday January 27th 1886 I sent for Mother this morning and she came home to stay till after dinner and started to Berlington this afternoon. I ironed some more and sewed a little. I took May over to Hatts to stay all night and Ott and I went to the Minstrels The boys did first rate. I enjoyed it very much. Thursdday January 28th 1886 I was at home all day and did some sewing on my muslin. May did not come from Hatts till the middle of the afternoon. Aunt Mary called a few moments. I hear Hatt is feeling some better. she was almost sick last night. Friday January 29th 1886 I worked about the house nearly the whole day. I did a little more ironing and some baking. I got the boys supper early and started them to the party at Aunt Ems I was sorry I could not go. May spent the afternoon at Mabel Corneys forty. Mrs Swartz staid with May and I all night. Saturday January 30th 1886 I got the work done in time to sew a little today. Lee did not come home last night. John & Hatt brought the children over to stay all night. We spent the evening talking. Sunday January 31st 1886 It was a miserable cold day and I was busy about the work most of the day. I did not get dinner till late in the afternoon. I wrote a letter to Vene. John did not go back to the store after that. Lee got home tonight.
