Wednesday June 23rd 1886 I ironed a little more this morning and Will and I went to town. It was noon when we got home. I wrote letters to John P Hart, Ann Gilbert and Lizzie Duncan in the afternoon. In the evening Gill and Mattie Fletcher and Mr & Mrs Clute called. Thursday June 24th 1886 I helped with the work a little this morning and Will and I went to the valley. We had a pleasant visit at Grandmas and a call at Aunt Ellents. I wrote to Mary Briggs in the evening. Friday June 25th 1886 I helped with the work most of the dfay. Hatt was over making jelly and brought Edith with her. I wrote to Vene and to Wills Aunt Louisa in the afternoon. We sat on the porch to talk all evening. Saturday June 26th 1886 I did not feel much like work today. Mother went over to Hatts to spend the day. I got some dinner and practiced in the afternoon. Will went over town in the buggy just before supper and I went with him. Mother rode home with us. We sat on the porch all the evening. The dust is perfectly dreadful. four years today since Rob [the following text is written vertically in the right margin of the above entry] and I started to Ohio. Sunday June 27th 1886 I was busy about the house most of the forenoon. Will had a chase for the horses. The Whetstones were over for dinner. We read and talked. The evening was spent on the porch. Monday June 28th 1886 Father come home last night. I did nothing but go about with Will and watch him fix the harness. Mother and Father went over to Hatts for supper. I had the work all done when they got home. It looked a little like rain but it did not come.
