29 Water ford Miss August 10th 1864 Wensday we came by train to Water Ford last night. and Byvoucked on the Depot platform and this morning we marched to the TallaHatchie a long the R. Road track Crossed the River & went into line of Battle on the left of the Brigade and Camped, Temporary Breastworks had been erected by the enemy and abandoned on our aproach. Gen Hatchs Cavalry are in.pursuit. Our Div lost 2 Killed & one wounded in aefecting a passage of the TallaHatchie. Heavey Rains & bad Roads for several days past
