40 Camp on Hurricane Creek Miss August 21st. 1864 Sunday Moved this morning at 7 A.M. and marched 7 miles & Camped on the south Bank of Hurricane Creek. the Roads are very bad for Teams & Artilery, But we had very good marching marching & the Roads are drying very fast. We have a very pretty Camp ground in a large open plantation where the whole of our 1st Division can be seen at a glance and looks as if it were spread out to dry after the late Heavy Rains. fresh meat & green Corn rather scarce up this Road
