80 On the march in Missouri Sept. 29th,,1864 Thursday the Rain Commenced falling again at 12 last night Continueing very heavey untill morning. And as our supply train was still strugling to get through the swamp we did not start untill 9 A.M. and then onely marched 7 miles as our Road lay still through the swamp, & our Teams seem to be nearer worn out than the men
