90 Steamer Armenia Miss River October 9th. 1864 Sunday Our Regt Rcd Clothing today & Issued to men, also five barrels of Potatoes from the Sanitary societies of St Louis. We moved from the Armenia on to the Boat Empire City. the 33d Missouri ocupy one side of the Boat and we the other. many of the 33d have Homes in the City, and thier Families & Friends Came & visited them to day But as they were dirty and in Rags they were not in a very presentable Condition, and thier Friends wondered why soldiers are subjected to such Careless Treatment I wrote a letter to Mrs Henderson to day Recd a loan of $2.00 from Sergt Hutchins
