102 Sedalia Missouri October 20th. 1864 Thursday We marched this morning at day light, and as we had no Transportation or ambulances we had to Carry our Blankets, and we marched 30 miles in the direction of Lexinton where Price is supposed to be, we marched through the villiages of George Town, [Seagleville?] &c. nearly half the Regiment fell out and Camped on the Prairie from Fatigue. The Desperadoes of Price's army are Committing great out Rages on the people of the State sooting down any men in thier Houses, that is irresponsible [gains?] of men not of the army proper of the Confederates
