103 On the March in Missouri October 21st. 1864 Friday We started out early this morning and Came in on the Road ahead of the 3 Division under A. J. Smith, and I had the Pleasure of seeing James Henderson in good Health & Spirits, the first time since the 1st of Sept. He gave me a Home letter from His Father Mother & [Rolla?]. I Regret I saw Him But a few minutes as His Div went on and we [Waited?] Several Hours for our Division to overtake us we haveing passed every thing, last night & this morning, to day we marched to Lexington 29 miles, [?
