Sedalia Mo Nov 4th 1864 Friday I Red a letter from Mrs C J Henderson containing $5,00 also a letter for D.B.H. marched 21 miles Camping in the snow 5 south East of La Mien Bridge at Otterville Nov 5th 1866 Saturday marched 18 miles and Camped at 4 P.M. near California, very bad marching as the melting snow has softened the Roads, the 35th Iowa was in advance & tried to Run us But gave it up after the 1st 10 mile [Heat?]
