(71) the fire and cover them up for a little time to clear, then Set them on the fire again and do so as before till they are very clear, then put your Oranges into glasses, and give your Syrup a boil, and pour it over them & after two days Cover them up With a paper Dip'd in brandy and tye apiece of Leather Over that To Preserve Apricocks Cut your Apricocks down the Notch & take out the Stone Carefully then pair them Very thin With a Small Pen-knife weigh them and to every pound put a pound & a half of double Refin'd Sugar, and disolve it in your preserveing pan and let it Boil & Skim it Very well then put in your Apricocks
