The stop for dinner was at Grand Junction Tenn but I could not get my tea and we ate dinner without The whole days ride was pleasant and the stop for supper was at Grenada Mifs where I got tea for us. It was a lovely hotel. We went to bed early after a pleasant visit with some of our friends on the train. Sunday April 20th 1884. We awoke at six oclock in a lovely tropical country and the ride from there to New Orleans where we arrived at ten oclock was delightful. We took a hack at the depot and found lodgings in a short time after coming up town. We got lunch at a restaurant and had a three oclock dinner sent in to us as it was raining so we could not go out. We wrote some letters and went to bed early. Monday April 21st 1884. We were about town considerable during the day and evening. Mr Phillips came for a pleasant call in the morning Rob is standing the trip very well. Weather cooler than we expected.
