Saturday May 10th 1884. Hatt was over with both the children and stayed all day. I was at work about the house most of the day. Weather sultry warm. Rob did not feel quite so well today. I worked on Hatts knit shawl and she left it for me to work on. Sunday May 11th 1884. It was a cool cloudy morning I was busy about the work till after dinner and then went over to Hatts to spend the afternoon. I read in the evening. Monday May 12th 1884. I did not feel at all well today and after helping some with the house-work put in the time on Hatts shawl. Weather pleasanter. Tuesday May 13th 1884. I swept and cleaned the house all up this morning as Julia is going to work at home for a few days. I worked on Hatts shawl while Mother was gone to town in the afternoon and when she came home at supper time with the word that Hatt was sick in bed. I went over and spent the evening
