Saturday June 28th 1884. First thing after breakfast put the new carpet down in the sitting room and then in the south west room up stairs. We then took the carpet out the north-west room and got it nearly cleaned before noon. The afternoon was devoted to the halls and stairs and doing some putting things to rights and the upper story was all finished. I call it a big weeks work. Sunday June 29th 1884 I was busy about the work all the forenoon and rested and slept a greater part of the afternoon I played on the piano in the evening, went to bed early. Monday June 30th 1884. I got up very early to work some curtains and sheets Mother and May took the things out of Robs room and I cleaned the floor before dinner. I put the carpet down in that and the little bedroom and ironed all the things I washed before supper. Minnie and Hatt were over after supper and stayed till bed-time John came after them. I put up some curtains after supper.
