Saturday August 30th 1884. Rob and I drove over to Lisbon to visit Kate Wenger the ride was pleasant We got there at one oclock. Rob stood it very well. We rested and visited afternoon and evening. Sunday August 31st 1884. A splendid day. We started home right away after dinner and got here a little after six. Rob stood it, splendidly. Monday September 1st 1884. I went over town early this morning and Edith came home with me Mother and Rob rode to the farm. I sewed a little in the afternoon. At five oclock Ott and I took Edith home and drove to the valley, got home at ten oclock. I heard from Vene today and wrote to her. Tuesday September 2nd 1884. It was a warm day. I sewed a little and helped with the work. Hatt was over to supper. I went over and stayed all night. Wednesday September 3rd 1884. I came home early this morning, was busy all the forenoon getting the house cleaned up. Mary Briggs and children with Grand-ma came in the afternoon, for a visit. Weather very warm. Rob is not feeling quite so well.
