Wednesday September 17th 1884. The day was spent in conversing with friends, and looking at Rob. Mrs. Harris and Kelse came this morning and Father at noon. Aunt Em went home and Grand-ma came up this evening. Thursday September 18th 1884. The day we must bury Our Rob out of sight. Such a beautiful bright day too. The forenoon was spent in getting ready for the funeral at two. The services were conducted by Mr Parsons assisted by Mr Folsom, and were very satisfactory and consoling. It seemed my heart would break as the coffin was lowered. How are we to live with out him. There were many beautiful flowers brought by friends. Charlie and the Horn's folks went home tonight. Friday September 19th 1884. I worked about the house in the forenoon. After dinner I gathered Robs clothes and things together and put them away in a trunk. Hatt was over in the afternoon. Grand-ma has been sick all day. We heard this morning that Mrs Middleton died last night.
