Tuesday October 14th 1884. I was busy most of the forenoon cleaning up the house Aunty Walker, Sallie Hart and Hattie were over for a visit I made me a new white apron and in the evening finished my white woolen skirt. I feel wretched with my cold. Wednesday October 15th 1884. I cleaned up the garret this morning and then went to town. I had another letter from Jim. I wrote him that I would come the last of the week. I made some more edging and finished up the pillow cases for Hatt in the evening. Was to town in the afternoon, got me a new cloak. Thursday October 16th 1884. We had a large washing this morning. I was busy about the work all the forenoon and to town in the afternoon. Mother was over and came home with me. I read a little in the evening. Friday October 17th 1884. Mother went to town and I helped with the work. Ida did the ironing I fixed the old red sacque. I fixed up my thing in the afternoon. Mother Ott & Hatt came to the depot with me. I started for Venes at at eight oclock.
