Wednesday October 22nd 1884. I took an early start and spent the day at Beechers How much we found to talk about in our mutual sorrows. Much as I grieve for myself I cannot help but share her grief. The evening I spent at Duncans where I had a delightful visit. Will brought me home. Thursday October 23rd 1884. Esther was here awhile in the forenoon and went with me to Bakers to spend the day. We made some calls in the afternoon and soon after supper Will came to take me up home, spent the evening visiting with Jim and Vene. Friday October 24th 1884. I was home most of the day sewing on a dress for Vene. Esther was here most of the day. I went down town just before supper. Will was gone to Springfield all day. I decided to stay over Sunday. Saturday October 25th 1884. It was a splendid day. Was out riding both morning and afternoon, finished Venes dress, made a couple of calls. I ate supper at Uncle John McKinstrys and Will brought me home early, visited with the folks till late bed-time.
