Sunday October 26th 1884. It rained the entire day so it was impossible to make the visits I had intended. Will and I put in the forenoon looking over old letters. We had an earnest talk in the evening over our relation to each other. Monday October 27th 1884. I packed up and Jim took me to the ten oclock train. I wrote home while waiting at Peoria, my wait there was not tedious. Charlie met me at Burlington. I spent the night at Harris house. A very pleasant day. Tuesday October 28th 1884. Went down to the office to see Charlie and from there to South Hill to make calls, he took dinner with me. I spent most of the afternoon at the office and Charlie was telling me his arrangements to many before long I called on Mifs Lewis, took supper with Charlie and spent the evening at the house. Wednesday October 29th 1884. I started home early and arrived at half past eleven. I helped with the work and worked on Hatts skirt. Mother and Lee went to the valley after dinner.
