Zayd Abu-Halawa To [illegible] or plums or an sort of fruit take your and them and put them in a pan and show [over?] them a good handfull of sugar and put a spoonful or 2 of water they take both less sugar & water then other fruit but all you must doe by guess. them on the fire and let them finiz gently with a them and when they they enough but let them stand a while after they of the fire rounded up for an hour or 2 before you power them out then power them upon a Chinay plate & serve them up your plums must not be and but they must be seeded and before they be put into the syrup as they are set down for preserving
