To [Prep?] Macaroni Just before the Water Boils put in Some Salt & when boiling put in the Macaroni which must boil till quite tender, then Strain it from the Water & put to it butter & Cheese grated, & Set it before the fire till brownd Gravy is better than Butter - To a pound of [illegible] Macaroni add three pints of Water if for Broth put in the Macaroni when the Broth or Soup is boiling & Let it Continue on the fire until the Macaroni is Tender
