To make Elder Balsam Set the Elder Berries over the Fire, in a preserving Pan, til they are warm enough to squese with your Hands, then put 'em in a Coarse Cloth to squese 'em drier, If twelve quarts, put four over the Fire, & keep stirring all the time, put in the other half a pint at a time; keep stirring all the while, & leave it not till done, be carefull it is not burnt in the least, or 'twill be not fit to use. A Remedy for Stoppage of Urine Take a large onion and slice it and put it in a pint of Mountain and simer it over the fire till it comes to half a pint and drink it and it will Immediately cause you to Make Water.
