John L. Coffin, Iowa Land Agency Offices: 130 State St., Boston. - - Davenport, Iowa. Mortgages Negotiated. Davenport, Iowa, Dec. 27 1873 H. C. Crane Esq. 20 Nassau St. N.Y. Dear Sir: Yours of 24th inst. received enclosing contract of sale of T. C. Durants N 1/2 SE 1/4.35.80.11 W., Iowa County, to James Martin, $200. cash paid, and 3 notes $265.67/100 each, due Jan 1/75, Jan 1/76 & Jan 1/77 respectively, 10% interest annually. This land was sold to John [Connick?] in May 1871 as you state, but the sale was not carried out by [Connick?], and I herewith return you the deed. Yours truly Jno. L. Coffin per J. Howard Henry
