Boston, March 17th '74 H. C. Crane, Esq 20 Nassau St - N.Y Dear Sir, Yours of 16th recd. Did you get a Power of Attorney from T.C. Durant which we can have recorded so as to give purchasers legal security? Two or three sales have been made and money paid me for which the purchasers have no security excepting my receipt - These payments have been credited T.C.D in a/c - all his and your taxes paid and there is a nominal balance to his credit of some $500 = which I have written my folks to remit & render a/c. - If you have the Power of Attorney please send it out for record and please let me know whether it authorizes signing deeds or giving bonds for deeds, so that the sales referred to and settled with me can be secured to the purchasers - Yours truly Jno L Coffin
