Boston, March 26th '74 Henry C. Crane, Esq Dear Sir, We have sold N 1/2 of NE 1/4 19.80.15 = 80 acres for $800 = 1/4 cash, balance in 2, 3, and 4 years, 10% int annually, and enclose Bond for Deed to George W. Batcham, which please execute as attorney and acknowledge, and mail to my Davenport address - Did you get duly appointed attorney? if so you can sign these deeds for [Rezenburg?] & Martin, and have the power recorded - and the certificates of acknowledgement would require a little different phraseology; but, if you only do the business by [procination?], the Bond, as given, may prove satisfactory, though a lawyer would ask for a record of your P. of Attorney - Very truly yours Jno L Coffin.
