Boston, March 28th '74 Henry C. Crane, Esq Dear Sir, Yours of the 26th inst recd. Your gen'l power of attorney will answer, no doubt, and if any one should require its record, I suppose you will have it done - My local agent has made two more good sales and although they pay nothing down, I would advise their acceptance, as they draw 10% & save taxes - The men are reliable and responsible and I sold 160 acres adjoining 3 years ago to Mirbach @ $10, and he has paid for it and has a fine farm and some $4,000 worth of stock - The parties will go in and improve this summer - I enclose contracts herein for the sales which please execute and return to me here, no acknowledgement required - viz Laurence Mirbach - E 1/2 of NE 25.80.11 = 80 acres, Iowa Co. for $1,000 = dates 24 Mch '74, 1st payment Dec 31 '74 $200 and 10% int in whole, and $200 & 10% in annually thereafter - William Henigan - W 1/2 of NE 35.80.11 = 80 acres same County $1,000 = $200 - Nov 1 '74 & int in whole & $200 & 10% int thereafter - I will get duplicate agreements and retain at Davenport - Chairman of Board of Supervisors writes to know when you expect T.C.D.
