Otterbourg, Jenks & Springs, Attorneys & Counselors at Law, 280 Broadway (Stewart Building) Telephone 4563 Cortlandt. New York.. December 20th 1893 W. West Durant, Esq., 45 Broadway New York. Dear Sir:- I am in receipt of a communication from R. E. Cochrane of Charlotte, N. C. enclosing a new power of attorney similar to one you executed in the year 1887, with the request that you and your mother and sister will execute and return to me at your earliest convenience. I was informed at your office that you were in the mountains but the man in charge stated that he woul forward this communication. After executing it please forward the same to your mother and sister, or return to me and let me know where I can communicate with them. You had the copy of the original power of attorney, but for fear you may have mislaid it, I enclose you a copy of it. The original power of attorney was not executed by your sister but it is now necessary that she should execute it for the reason that Mr. Cochrane desires to sell the property or a portion of it, of which you will receive your due share as per agreement. You will also notice in the new power of attorney that the name of Charles R. Jones is left out, he having died several years
