Correspondence on Lemmond Mine, Union County, North Carolina, part 1, 1854-1894

the Book and out as agent for both mines.  Capt Pulson & myself talked [it?] over and thought that it would be best to let Williams manage the census [illegible] [illegible] months and as just as if I was away.  Of course I should be at this time the same as [illegible] and have an eye on everything in doing this I would know by the first of May whether it would be [illegible] to leave them or not.
I also told Pulson that I did not know how long I should stay here as I might be called away at any time by you.
The mines are still under my charge and will be as long as I remain here, although I shall let let Williams as the corresponding this coming month and take charge of the mines [illegible] my instructions.
I am all ready for [illegible]  and [July?] and think that I can show them
