Copy Know all men by these presents that Thomas C Durant of Brooklyn of the first part for and in consideration of one Dollar to him in hand paid by Charles W Durant of Albany of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has assigned sold and transferred and by these presents doth sell assign and transfer unto the said party of the second part in trust for Durant Lathrop & Co a Bond and Mortgage for Twenty three thousand one hundred and seventy Dollars and interest made by Robert Taylor and Emily M Taylor his wife said Mortgage being recorded in the Register Office of Union County State of North Carolina in Liber 3 of Mortgages, page 424 November 21st/85 of In witness whereof the said party of the first part has hereunto set his hand and seal this Fourth day of March 1859 Sealed & delivered in presence of HC Crane Thos. C Durant
