Charlotte, N.C. April 21st 1878 Dr Thomas C Durant Dear Sir I have been informed that you wished to sell what is called the (Lemmonds) Lands in Union Country [illegible] and secure the mineral interest. I would like to buy about five hundred acres including the mill site and what [illegible] of the creek belongs to the land. I will be pleased to hear from you. Yours Respectfully J M Laughlin
