on interest above mentioned then the said party of the second grant(?) and his assigns and hereby authorized pursuant to Statute to sell the premises above granted on so much thereof as will be necessary to satisfy the amount then due with the Costo and expenses allowed by law In witness whereof the said parties of the first grant ___ ___ herewith set their hands and seals the day and year first above written. Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of Moses B Maeloy Ellis Mundy Robert Taylor Emily M Taylor State of New York City and County of New York U Moses B Maelay residing in the City County and State of New York ______________ of the State of North Carolina for the said State of New York to take depositions affidavits acknowledgements of Deeds ___ duly Commissioned under the laws of the North Carolina and qualified to hereby certify that on the ninth day of July __ ___ one thousand eight hundred and fifty seven before me personally appeared Robert Taylor and Emily M his wife named in the annexed mortgage and the said mortgage being likewise produced and exhibited before me the said Robert Taylor and Emily M Taylor acknowledged the due execution thereof by them as their act and deed and thereupon the paid Emily M Taylor bring by me privately examined separate and apart from her said husband touching her free Consent in the execution of said mortgage in such her examination declared that she had executed the same freely of her own will and accord and without any force __ or undue influence of her said husband or any other person and did still voluntarily assert thereto In witness whereof I have hereto set of my hand and seal of office the day and year above written Moses B Maelay North Carolina Commissioner
