Tuesday February 6th 1883 I hurried to get through with my work this morning and Lee and I went down to Aunt Marys of an errand. We stopped at Hatts a little while on the way home. We sent for her to come and bring baby over in the afternoon we had a nice visit with her I helped Bridget iron in the afternoon and in the evening baked a large fruit-cake. Wednesday February 7th 1883 I was busy working up stairs all the morning and began right away after dinner to bake cakes for the party and did not get through till bed time I was very tired and went to bed early. had a letter from Maggie McKee and a note from Aunt Em. Thursday February 8th 1883 I cleaned up the lower story in the front part of the house this forenoon and the lamps in the parlor. Rob and I took
