Thomas C. Durant vs In the District E.Dexter, James Lindley Court, Scott County Lee, Higginson & Co The defendants E. Dexter, James Lindley & Lee Higginson & Co saving & reserving &c for answer to the bill of complaint of Thomas C. Durant or to so much and to such parts thereof as they are advised it is material for them to answer, answering say they believe it is true and therefore they admit that about the 17th day of July 1856, John M.D [Bunous?] and Sarah M. [Bunous?] his wife executed to John F. Dillon a deed of trust as mentioned in the bill of complainant, conveying to said Dillon the property in said bill described and they believe " Exhibit A" attached to said bill is a correct copy of said deed of trust. These defendants believe it is true that said Deed of trust was executed by said [Bunous?] and his wife for the purposes in said bill mentioned. These defendants deny the allegation of said bill which states "that after the execution of said deed of trust by [Bunous?] and wife John E. Dillon, Cook & Sargent sold and assigned the notes thereby secured
