Jany 21 '90. John S. Barbour, Esq., Dear Sir: It is something more than a month ago, that I communicated to you an offer on the part of Mr. Farnam to compromise the Jugment recovered by his wife agst., Mrs Durant; that compromise was predicated upon prompt payment of the amount. My instructions now are that unless payment thereof is made before the 1st of February I shall bring an action agst. Mrs Durant upon the Judgment; having first withdrawn the offer.
