Jany 22 1890 My Dear Mr Durant I enclose a letter of 21st Inst, which I have just received from C.C. Lester concerning the Farnam claim against your Mother. I have given him your messages which you have sent by me from time to time. The last one, I think, was that you expected to be at home from the South the first week in the present month and then would take up the matter I have since told him that you had been detained longer than you expected, and to day told him that I heard from you last week that you would return this week.
