BOND. Know all Men by these Presents, that I, Heloise H. Durant, wife of Thomas C. Durant, of the City, County and State of New York, am ______________ held and firmly bound unto Charles H. Farnam of the City of New Haven, State of Connecticut ______________ in the sum of Nine thousand four hundred thirty three Dollars eighty two Cents, lawful money of the United States of America, to be paid to the said Charles H. Farnam, his executors, administrators or assigns: for which payment well and truly to be made, I bind myself, my heirs, executors and administrators firmly by these present. Sealed with my seal Dated the day of April one thousand eight hundred and seventy six. The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bounden Heloise H. Durant, her heirs, executors, administrators, shall well and truly pay, or cause to be paid, unto the above named Charles H. Farnam, his executors, administrators, or assigns, the just and full sum of Four thousand seven hundred sixteen Dollars and ninety one Cents on the day of ___________187 , with interest thereon at and after the rate of seven percent per annum from the sixteenth day of May one thousand eight hundred and seventy six, payable semi-annually on the first day of and in each and every year until the whole of the said principal sum shall be fully paid, then the above obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue. [And?] the said Heloise H. Durant covenants and agrees with the said Charles H. Farnam that this is given for the benefit of and the consideration thereof has accrued to her separate estate and she hereby charges her separate estate with the payment, performance and fulfilment of the same.
