Wednesday March 1st 1882. I soon got my work done and in the afternoon ripped up my velvet skirt and fixed a black waist. I mailed some flowers to Will in the afternoon. Mother was over to Folsoms in the afternoon I went to town at four oclock and Hatt and I went out to see Em Parvin but did not find her at home. I took supper at Hatts and Rob called for me to go to the reading club. Weather splendid. Thursday March 2nd 1882 We washed again this forenoon and I was busy all the afternoon doing odd jobs of work. I went to town as soon as I ate my supper, After doing some little trading I went down to Hatts and stayed all the evening Lee came after me (he has begun to work in Johns store) I brought a sack of rags from there.
