Saturday April 29th 1882. Mother went over town in the forenoon I was busy about the baking but got to practice an hour. Jennie and I went over town soon after dinner I helped sew all the afternoon. Elsie More-land who is visiting in town came home with us to stay all night. Sunday April 30th 1882. I helped some with the work this morning and Elsie and I went to church Elsie went home with the young folks from the valley. I was at Hatts a few moments after church, found Carney there he had come last night. I wrote a letter to Will Reed and to Charlie in the afternoon. Monday May 1st 1882. It was a very pleasant day. I worked about the house all the forenoon and in the afternoon cleaned the garret. I was very tired so read a little while after supper and went to bed.
