Friday July 7th 1882.I was busy most of the forenoon getting things together to go over to Waverly I wrote a letter to Hatt. We had an early dinner and Mary took us to the depot. We stopped at Offetts but found no mail for us. Our ride to Waverly was pleasant in the extreme. We did not find any of our friends at the depot as Will was obliged to be away from town and Monda was not able to come. The remainder of the afternoon passed away pleasantly. Saturday July 8th 1882. It was raining in the forenoon so we did not stir out but as soon as we ate our dinner Will got a carriage and we started to Piketon. Mrs Andersons sister Florence went with us and we took the children The drive over was splendid and we went right on out to the old place where Grand-pa lived just before they moved to Iowa. It had a double interest to us as the
