Saturday [July] 15th 1882. I was right here at Marys all day taking a good rest after all the going around of the fore part of the week. Rob and Mart were down town in the afternoon. Rob had a letter from Charlie and a paper from Waverly. In the evening we listened to a band through the telephone which was fifteen miles away. Weather pleasant. Sunday July 16th 1882. It was a very pleasant day but we did not go any place I did not feel very well so slept awhile in the afternoon. Went to bed early. Monday July 17th 1882. It was a very pleasant morning and we got up early as Mart expected the men to do threshing today. He took us with our trunk down town before noon We were at Offetts till three oclock when we young folks went down to call on
