Wednesday October 4th 1882. I got up early and did the washing before breakfast and then swept the house all over but the parlor before noon. I did a large washing in the afternoon while Mother put up a bushel of tomatoes. I ironed a few things in the evening. Weather very warm. Thursday October 5th 1882. Mother went to town this morning and got another bushel of tomatoes and we put them up in the afternoon and I had to go to town for sealing wax and I got caught in a shower too. I pasted covers on some jelly in the evening, besides sewing some. Friday October 6th 1882. Hatt came over with the baby to stay all day. Mother went to town and got fifty lbs more of grapes and we put them up in the afternoon. Though the weather was threatening rain Otto and I went to John McCallisters reception and had a very nice time indeed Hatt went home as we went down there. Lee is nearly sick again.
