Friday October 13th 1882. The weather is better today Mother was gone to town all the forenoon and I did the work. In the afternoon I did some baking for company I was to have. Lee went to the valley for Onie Nelson. She with her cousin Emma and Lilly Brendan were here all night. We had quite a pleasant time playing cards. Hatt and John were over. Saturday October 14th 1882. As soon as we got the work done up this morning Lee brought Hatt over to stay all day and then him and I took Onie and Emma home. We went up to Grand-mas for dinner. It was four oclock when we got home and I was very tired Lee and I had quite a talk on our way home about his health and what was best for him to do. I was so tired I went to bed as soon as the supper dishes were washed.
